Indeed, with so many eyes fixed firmly on their walk down the aisle, the pressure is on for the stars to drop big bucks and deliver a fairytale ceremony befitting a princess.

The wedding planner isn’t just responsible for pulling together the perfect look, they also have to ensure no-one gets a peek at it before the big day.

“I get my brides the VIP treatment when it comes to the dress. Shops will generally close so there’s no other bride in there, just mine,” says Mark Niemierko, who planned James Corden’s lavish 2012 nuptials to Julia Carey in rural Somerset, UK.

Naturally, the gown needs to fit perfectly. Ahead of her recent nuptials to millionaire James Matthews, Pippa Middleton is said to have had her custom Giles Deacon gown taken in five times, as she kept losing weight.
