Heroic Americans put lives on line to drive out invaders

BRAVE New Jersey carpenter Andrew Bennett is laying down his hammer and picking up arms to join a legion of Americans heading to Ukraine to fight for freedom against twisted tyrant Vladimir Putin's war machine!

Even though he has no previous military experience, the outraged 45-year-old hard hat is heading to the war-torn European nation to do his bit after seeing ruthless Russian invaders bomb children's hospitals, shoot innocent seniors and crush fleeing refugees under tons of rubble!

"I'm packing a duffel bag full of stuff as if I'm never coming home,” Andrew tells The National ENQUIRER. "I hope I do, but there are more important things."

At least 3,000 other Americans feel the same and have signed on with more than 20,000 volunteers from 52 countries who've heeded the call of Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky to "defend the liberty and life of us and of everyone."

James McCall, a Ukrainebound U.S. Army veteran from Oklahoma, calls Putin's cowardly attack an assault on democracy and freedom. He proclaims, "It's my duty as a free man and as a free American to help."
