Rebekah Vardy has said there’s nothing wrong with wanting to win as her “Wagatha Christie” libel case against Coleen Rooney rumbles on.
Speaking exclusively to new about her home life as she launched her first children’s book last week, she said, “We love winning. I competed in athletics at school and was so focused on winning – there’s nothing wrong with wanting to win.”
Despite Coleen’s lawyers having accused Becky, 40, of “publicity-seeking” throughout the court case, the TV personality – who is married to Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy, 35 – was quick to tell us she actually prefers to stay away from the glare of the spotlight.
“We’re both very normal, if there is such a thing,” she said. “We haven’t always had the lives we have now and we both remember how life was for us in the past and that keeps you grounded.
“Outside of football, all of our time is spent with the kids. We do very few things that people would perceive to be showbiz. We don’t tend to go to parties, premieres or dinners. We’re homebodies.”
