Graham Norton shares why his role hosting Europe's biggest music competition is like no other

'EUROVISION IS AS DAFT AS IT IS DEADLY SERIOUS'

It's time to get the Union Jacks out and the snacks and drinks in and hope it isn't us hearing the dreaded "Nul points".

The Eurovision Song Contest is back and in 2022, Europe's biggest music competition is marking its 66th year.

In an anniversary less worthy of celebration, it will also be 25 years since the UK last triumphed, with Love Shine A Light by Katrina and The Waves.

Bringing his usual dry wit to the commentary, Eurovision fixture Graham Norton will be flying the flag for this year's entry, Sam Ryder's Space Man.

So, who will have us dancing in our living rooms - and which of the 40 countries competing will hit a bum note? Graham, 59, says he can't wait to find out...

Hi, Graham! It's that time of year again! What makes Eurovision so special to you?

I've always loved Eurovison but somehow, over the past few years, it has become even more special. I find the idea of fans and families coming together during dark times to celebrate music across the continent moving.
