Katie Price’s world was turned upside down last week when her 18-year-old son Harvey was rushed to the hospital. Announcing the sad news on Instagram, Katie, 42, wrote, “I can confirm Harvey is in intensive care and in the best hands.”
And now Katie, who is also mum to Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jett, six, and Bunny, five, has exclusively told new just how difficult the past few days have been for her family as they anxiously wait for answers.
“Harvey is such a brave little boy, but it’s been tough,” she revealed. “He’s taken a turn for the better, but he’s still in intensive care. The worst thing for me as a mum is that there are only certain hours you’re allowed to go into the hospital because of coronavirus – it’s horrid.
“It’s awful seeing him lying there with all the tubes in him. And when they put him into intensive care, he was ill but he still managed to shout, ‘I want my mummy.’ I was standing outside the room with Junior and they wouldn’t let me in. It was horrible.”
As she’s been unable to stay by Harvey’s bedside, Katie has been FaceTiming him every morning. “He’s aware of what’s going on, but he’s got tubes everywhere and he’s in bed so he can’t get out,” she explained.
“Luckily Junior has been with me and he’s like my little adult. He says, ‘I can tell by your face so when I know it’s really bad, then I’ll worry.’ But I’ve been keeping calm because I don’t want them to worry.”
