When Kim Kardashian covered herself in gaffer tape to attend a Balenciaga fashion show, she proved that even though she’s divorced from rapper Kanye West and no longer under his fashion influence, the 41-year-old can still dress just as outrageously.

When the photos of the instantly iconic look started circulating, my editor asked me to re-create it. I wasn’t going to turn down the opportunity to dress up like Kim – her early 00s Juicy Couture tracksuits are usually more my vibe but, just like Kim post-divorce, I was ready to reinvent myself.
