‘Lisa's at peace with Ant's engagement and finally has closure'

Lisa Armstrong can finally look to the future with a smile, after ex-husband Ant McPartlin’s Christmas proposal to his girlfriend

Ant McPartlin ended 2020 on a high after it was revealed he popped the question to girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett on Christmas Eve. And while many exes would be left licking their wounds, a source close to his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong revealed to new that the engagement is the closure she needed.

“Lisa has moved on,” a source told new. “People see her as being bitter and that she’s got the hang up about it all, but she really has moved on. It’s sunk in for her now and she knows there’s no way back and it’s totally over – and she’s cool with it. She’s at peace and finally got closure.

“It was hard for her in the beginning and she was hurt by it all. Seeing pictures of Ant and Anne-Marie together used to kill her, but she doesn’t actually care any more. It doesn’t hit her like it used to. In fact, she’s happier than ever.”
