Ashley Cain and his partner Safiyya Vorajee showed incredible strength last week as they said one final goodbye to their baby daughter Azaylia with a Lion King-themed funeral service.
The couple were visibly moved and wiped away tears as they headed up a funeral procession through Nuneaton in Warwickshire, after asking mourners to clap and cheer to create an “uplifting day of remembrance”.
Eight-month-old Azaylia lost her battle with acute myeloid leukaemia in April after spending much of her short life in hospital.
