Following their success on Celebrity Gogglebox, they’re joining forces once again for their new ITV weekend show, Martin & Roman’s Sunday Best!, which will see them joined by a host of famous guests each week.
“We’re going to be doing stuff that we’d want to see,” Martin tells us when we ring them up for a chat about their new project.
“Whether it’s getting some people in to play some music for us or having a laugh with each other. Stuff that will make us different from other Saturday or Sunday morning shows.”
Martin, 58, enjoyed global success in the 80s as the bass guitarist of Spandau Ballet. He starred in the hit 1990 film The Krays, with his brother Gary, then returned to the spotlight in the late 90s when he bagged the role of bad boy Steve Owen in EastEnders. Meanwhile, Roman, whose mum is former Wham! backing singer, Shirlie Kemp, is a star in his own right as he hosts Capital FM’s breakfast show each weekday morning.
And last year, Roman, 27, became a household name after appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! alongside Caitlyn Jenner, Kate Garraway and Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle. He was a hit with viewers and came third in the show before Jacqueline Jossa was crowned Jungle Queen.
