For more than two decades, Kerry Katona has experienced the highs and lows of life in the spotlight. She’s enjoyed a successful music and TV career, glitzy red carpet events, luxury houses and a lifestyle many can only dream of.
But the 40-year-old has also experienced more hardship than many could ever contemplate, from her bipolar disorder and depression to near destruction, partially due to her three failed marriages.
Throughout it all, Kerry – who is mum to Molly, 19, Lilly, 18, Heidi, 14, Max, 13, and DylanJorge, seven – has never given up and now her star is rising again. She’s made her first million since being declared bankrupt in 2008 and found her perfect match in her fiancé, personal trainer Ryan Mahoney. The couple, who have been together for more than three years, are busy planning their wedding.
So we sat down with Kerry to talk Vegas nuptials, finding the right dress and why she’s unapologetic about the controversial sideline that’s helped her make a million.
Hi, Kerry! How are you feeling about getting married again?
This is my final wedding – ever! I’ve been married three times and had all these failures. I can’t believe I’m here again. I think I’ve got an addiction! I almost feel embarrassed being here. And I’m scared – I don’t want another failed relationship. I’ve made so many mistakes. For so many years I was bitter and angry but you have to move on and let go.
Does it feel different this time around?
