She’s the original rom-com queen, with classics like Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride and My Best Friend’s Wedding turning her into the star we know today. But while Julia Roberts has barely touched the genre in years, she says she still holds them very close to her heart. ‘There came a point in my career where people thought I had turned on romantic comedies, but I love them, I love to be in them, I love to watch them,’ the 51-year-old explains. ‘But sometimes, they just don’t work at a certain point of life experience.’

After taking life down a notch to raise her children, the actress is getting back into the swing of things with a string of new projects – including Homecoming, her exciting new series for Amazon Prime, which launches on November 2. But fans shouldn’t hold their breath for another rom-com! ‘Unless we [play] the parents of the people that are rom-com-ing,’ Julia jokes. ‘It’s not about age, it’s just about what people know that you know.’
