Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, has been breaking with royal protocol ever since her 2011 marriage to Prince William. From insisting they live a quiet life outside London at Anmer Hall to her penchant for a PDA with her hubby (tasteful, of course!), Kate is a new breed of royal. And now the commoner-turned-future queen has an ally in her bid to shake up the monarchy: Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle.

‘The person who has perhaps emboldened Kate most recently is Prince Harry’s girlfriend and definitely future wife, Meghan,’ an insider tells OK! exclusively, with the women’s shared views on parenting said to have brought the pair even closer recently. ‘[Meghan] has talked at length with Kate about fending off the palace views on boarding school – Kate wants to avoid it if she can and Meghan is deadset against it.’
