Despite the fact that her dad, Bono, is one of the most famous rockers in the world, actress Eve Hewson has had her fair share of rejection. But the 29-year-old actress is determined to make her mark in a tough industry, and with her new Netflix psychological thriller, Behind Her Eyes, she’s set to become a household name.
Based in Brooklyn, the Dublin-born star recently revealed that the U2 frontman once refused to hire good-looking support bands because she was a “little troublemaker”. Now older, self-supporting and living with just her cat, Eve admits that she has always been “outspoken and opinionated”.
Here, the actress, who has an older sister, Jordan, two younger brothers, Elijah and John, and whose mum is activist Ali Hewson, talks to OK! about her ambitions and what it’s like being part of a famous family…
Everyone gets embarrassed by their parents at some point. What embarrassing things has your dad done to you?
He used to blast Backstreet Boys in his car in traffic on the way to school. He’d get out of the car in his dressing gown and dance with his glasses on, and we’d be mortified.
