Built-in 1699, the William III country house was once the abode of famous diarist Lady Mary Wortley Montagu and is aptly mentioned in the writings of her fictional counterpart, Bridgerton’s Lady Whistledown.
OK! sipped our complimentary chilled champagne as we checked out our suite featuring pastel soft furnishings, floral wallpaper, and a four-poster bed. Kicking back in our robes, we felt utterly relaxed soaking up the views across the lush 20 acres of grounds, which boast manicured lawns, a willow-lined lake, and a pretty walled garden. Guests with dogs are welcome in one of three Garden and Cottage suites.
