Duchess Kate and Prince William are expecting two little princesses, a source tells Ok!

In early August, not long after a glowing Duchess Kate stepped out sporting a fuller figure, a royal insider told OK! that the 37-year-old and her husband, Prince William, had recently learned that they’re expecting a baby girl. “They were surprised, but also thrilled that Kate was pregnant again,” the insider said at the time, adding that the future king and queen have always talked about having a big family. “They both feel so grateful that their dream is coming true!”

But the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have since gotten even wilder news! “Kate recently found out that she’s having twins — two girls!” a palace source tells OK!, explaining that she got the exciting update at a recent ultrasound. “Everything was normal — until the doctor detected two heartbeats,” the source continues. “Kate was absolutely speechless! She kept telling the doctor that it must be a mistake. She didn’t fully believe it until she heard it for herself.”

When Kate got back to the palace that evening, “she was nervous to tell William at first, because he’s constantly saying they already have their hands full [with George, 6, Charlotte, 4, and Louis, 17 months],” shares the source. “But he melted when Kate told him it was twins! Charlotte is the light of his life, so to have two more girls to spoil is going to be absolute heaven for him.”
