WHENEVER there are discussions about good DJs in South African radio, the name, Mo Flava is usually right up there with the best. He currently hosts the The Drive on Metro FM with Masechaba Ndlovu and has a new single out titled The Music. He chats to us about his new song, what he gets up to when he’s offair, and also shares the best advice he’s ever received.
How did your song The Music featuring Lelo come about?
I’ve worked on the song with a young up-and-coming producer by the name of Cairo. However, I wasn’t finding the vocalist that I was looking for and Mobi Dixon suggested Lelo; and when I checked out some of her music, I liked it. And that’s how the song came together – we did like three or four versions before we got to this one.
In terms of music what do the next few months look like for you?
