ONCE upon a time, in a land far, far away, lived a beautiful king and queen, who every night took a secret potion to prevent ageing. Well, that doesn’t work in reality, which is why plastic surgeons are making a killing these days! 

Ageing gracefully seems to be a thing of the past. And it’s not just because we’re trying to keep up with the Kardashians anymore, but because the fear is real; and it starts from young these days. Gerascophobia is the fear of getting old, and after making our rounds recently, we realised that more people are gerascophobic than we (oops, we mean they) thought! 

No one wants to lose their youthfulness right? Wrinkles are not the new black, and age spots are not the kind of accessory one is looking to invest in. But shouldn’t we all just accept that getting old is the one thing that can’t be changed? Apparently, NO! Thanks to plastic surgeons, aesthetic doctors and well, almost every GP who does Botox on every street corner, we are all able to nip, tuck, suck and well, make the lines and the entire ageing process disappear.
