WHILE men would like to believe that only women go through menopause, the big change of life, men, in fact, do experience their own kind of change.
That’s right, gents – you too will have to put up with mood swings, a low libido and depression after 50. But the good news is you’ll probably be experiencing symptoms at the same time as your significant other, so learn to treat the condition, cope (while your wife copes) and accept that it’s a natural thing that you can’t get away from. As for your children, they might need to run away for a few years, sorry! Menopause for women usually starts around the age of 50, too – although it varies. Menopause is a dramatic drop in the production of female hormones oestrogen and progesterone.
