“Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand that is a form of striking martial arts,” reveals Kunal Sharma. “It involves attacks of the legs, elbows and fists from a long range as well as short range. This sport requires one to have ace athletic qualities as well as excellent neuromuscular coordination.”
Muay Thai is also called the ‘Art of Eight Limbs’ as it uses swift punches, kicks and knee strikes with eight points of contact, as opposed to two points and four points in other combat sports like kickboxing and savate.

Cardio strength:
This sport demands high quality cardio strength. Muay Thai tremendously helps in building one’s cardio and respiratory strength.

This is the ideal sport to build leg strength because without strong legs, you can’t generate enough power in your kicks. This sport involves a lot of kicks with power and precision.
Neuromuscular coordination:
Muay Thai demands active neuromuscular coordination ability to time landings, kicks and punches. Therefore, it largely helps one improve coordination.
