Catching Up With Michael Dietz

Michael Dietz, who has found great success producing game shows and reality shows since putting his acting career on hold, is back in front of the camera as the host (and is also the chief creative officer) of a series of game shows for a new app, Ripkord TV.

“I met with this amazing CEO, Todd Peterson, and Ripkord is like nothing I’d ever seen before,” Dietz begins. “There are several trivia apps out there, like HQ Trivia, but we are very different. We are a mobile, live-gaming television network. We love appointment viewing on your phone, where people can log in every day. You get an alert, there’s a live host — which happens to be me right now — play live games and win money. How great is that?”

Ripkord boasts an increasing roster of games, like Raise The Bar, Fast Facts, On The Money, Word Up and The Hunt. Explains Dietz, “With my TV background, Todd brought me in to come up with concepts that are different than just standard trivia. Not only have we created some unique games, but we’re inclusive. We poll people live. We solicit input. The games are easy and fun, and our retention has been great. We launched earlier this year and have been growing every day. As CCO, I come up with the creative and deal with the content and the games. It just happened that I started hosting, too.”
