Maxie's guilt about lying to Felicia on the subject of baby Louise intensifies when her mom tells her about her recent confrontation with Peter — but she has bigger problems when her mom won't drop the subject of hunting for the "missing” child.
Felicia makes it clear to Maxie that she is shaken by Peter's harsh words about her failings as a mother. "Being the bad guy that he is, Peter is able to twist things around, and he has much knowledge of the relationship between Maxie and Felicia," notes Kristina Wagner (Felicia). “He has a sword and he can jab it right into your belly! And, of course, Felicia is profoundly hurt by his words. She feels total guilt, shame. She wants to make nice with Maxie."
