A source reports that Tom, 56, was secretly grooming a boyfriend of his daughter Isabella to become a high-ranking officer with the church — until their 2013 breakup left the star devastated. And the source claims he’s been reeling from the loss ever since.

The source says longtime church devotee Eddie Frencher was living with Isabella, during which time “Tom got to know him very well and embraced him as one of the family.” Their sudden split, says the source, left Tom “with the sense that Eddie is the man who got away.”
