Liam Mohajeri Norris, 18, builds with Lego, brick by brick and layer by layer. When he was 13, he founded a Lego Design Club for kids in his homeschooling community in Virginia. At age 15, he ran free weekly Lego workshops at the local Boys and Girls Club, using toy donations he solicited from the community. He also launched a YouTube channel, “Brixter,” where he posts video tutorials such as the “10 Bricks a Day” challenge. Every day for one year, Liam posted a new video demonstrating how to build something with only 10 Lego bricks. With quite a few more bricks—over 5,000—he built a “Spirit Lion” that’s roughly as tall as a golden retriever. It won the 2019 Best Sculpture prize at BrickFair Virginia, an annual Lego convention. When he’s not building MOCs, making video tutorials, or doing schoolwork, Liam teaches Lego engineering classes for kids, sharing his passion and skills with a new generation.
Liam’s Spirit Lion had dozens of tiny details, like smaller animals and people built into its body.
