The mighty quest for epic cute is now over.
Adorable. Captivating. Charming. Squee-inducing. Maybe if I get all the delightful adjectives out the way first, it’ll make it a little easier to write about a farming sim where tiny creatures, some of which look like mushrooms and jellyfish on legs, trot along happily behind you as you go on adventures. Nope, I still want to burst. Damn it.
Don’t worry, Ooblets isn’t just a pretty face. Originally called Moblets before a swift name change late last year, this almost unforgivingly appealing looking combo of creature collection and crop watering might just be the one to prise your green fingers away from Stardew Valley. And it all comes from a tiny team. Artist, programmer and developer Rebecca Cordingley has been working on the project alone, taking help from her husband Ben Wasser when time will allow. But, I hear you ask, what exactly is an ooblet?
