BOTH APPLE AND GOOGLE COULD BE MAKING WAVES
The holiday season starts officially at the end of Thanksgiving, but for fans of Apple and tech products in general, September and October can often feel like Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa and New Years’ Eve all rolled into one – and there are certainly plenty of rumors flying around.
Apple launched its iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and Apple Watch Series 4 at its grand event in September, but as of early October, it is Google taking the stage with offerings for the holidays – at least at first.
GOOGLE HITS CENTRE STAGE
As Apple Magazine headed for publication, the search giant was just hours away from the almost-certain launch of its latest Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices, complete with expanded specs and memory compared to their predecessors.
We are also set to see a new Pixel Slate tablet, which will reportedly run the Chrome OS and compete directly with the Microsoft Surface Pro, rather than the MacBook. There won’t be much of a sense of surprise about the device’s unveiling, however, given the press renders that have leaked seemingly showing it in full.
As reported by the Pocket-lint site, we are also apparently almost guaranteed to see an Amazon Echo Show-like device called the Google Home Hub, representing an upgrade on the existing Google Home and Home Mini.
There may also be some tweaks to the Chromecast streaming devices and Pixel Buds earphones, and some Google watchers think we might even see a new Chromebook or updated Pixelbook.
