The arena-based beat ’em up has a long and impressive history on Xbox, even in the relatively short 18 years Microsoft’s console has been around, and most of its main franchises are still fighting fit. As those long-standing series retain their retro cool and fans still clamour for more from their once sprite-based heroes, what better time to delve into a brief history of fighting games on Xbox?
