When you look at the world through the eyes of a two-and-a-half-year-old, everything is brightly coloured and magical; a whole new experience every time with an emphasis on the minute detail. “Woaaah Mummy, there’s a wind turbine,” is the latest proclamation to cause extreme excitement.
But when our family of four, including said two-and-a-half-year-old and two-month-old brother rocked up to the Four Seasons Hampshire; car stuffed with what looked like enough luggage for a week away, all of our eyes were on stalks.
This wasn’t my first visit to the iconic hotel nestled in the Hart of Hampshire in quaint Dogmersfield, having been before when childless and fancy-free. However, like a toddler, those previous visits wiped from my memory, and I felt like I was experiencing all that the hotel had to offer for the first time.
