This month sees the opening of a breath taking exhibition in Lancashire by one of the UK’s most enduringly popular landscape artists, Barry Hilton.

Barry Hilton
Drama In The Skies

Born in Manchester in 1941, Barry Hilton has spent a lifetime developing his style and technique of painting, capturing the intense atmosphere and drama of the skies in stunning landscape and seascape paintings.

Having moved to Cornwall in 1979, Barry Hilton found himself amongst many of the country’s most popular artists of the day and began to envisage a life as a full time artist. This period of his career had a profound influence on his future, becoming fascinated with the skies and drawing inspiration from his contemporaries as well as iconicartists such as JWM Turner.
