There’s more to Adah Sharma than meets the eye. For starters, she’s ambidextrous, plays the piano, and is a top-notch gymnast. Nikita Sawant catches up with the chirpy young actor.
Adah Sharma has a finger in every pie and wants to be everything all at once. Only five films old, she may be a Bollywood rookie, but the actor is deeply proud of all her films and has already acquired a huge fan base. After the success of the 2008 horror film 1920, Sharma went on to act in a few other Bollywood and regional films, most recently starring opposite Vidyut Jamwal in Commando 2: The Black Money Trail. Slowly, but surely, she’s making a name for herself, especially in south Indian cinema.
Was acting always on the cards?
I didn’t have a plan growing up. I used to do gymnastics, and so, for some time, I wanted to be a professional gymnast. I also wanted to become a writer. I also used to paint, so I’ve thought of giving that a shot. But then I did a little theatre in school, and that’s when I decided I wanted to act.
