We're Happier Than Ever

Engaged since august, the reality stars open up their home—and get real about their life now.

Many Bachelor-franchise engagements don’t survive the transition from fantasy dates to real life. But former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher and her fiancé, Jordan Rodgers, didn’t waste any time moving forward. “As soon as the finale aired, we packed up my stuff, and I moved a week later,” says Rodgers, who has now been living with his fiancée in her hometown of Dallas for the past three months, happy to tune out the gossip and share some much needed one-on-one time away from the cameras. “It was the best thing that could have happened for our relationship,” says Fletcher—particularly after their tumultuous season, during which the pair dealt with rumors that Rodgers wasn’t there for the proverbial “right reasons.” That’s not to say that everything went smoothly. “We had no furniture for the first three months,” says Fletcher with a laugh. “We had this idea that we’d have movie nights snuggled up on the couch. But for a while, we just sat on the floor!” Now, having finally furnished their cozy bungalow with a “cozy chic” look, Fletcher, a real estate developer, 26, and Rodgers, a college-football analyst, 28, are showing off their home—and opening up about their next steps. “I can’t wait to get married,” Fletcher says. “This year has been a roller coaster. I didn’t expect to be here. And I’m so happy.”

JoJo, a year ago you had just been dumped by Ben Higgins on The Bachelor. How does it feel to be in this place with Jordan now?

JOJOThere were so many nights that I would pray that it would work out the way it was supposed to. Seeing where I’ve come is nice!
