The Bletchley Circle returns to ITV for a mystery-solving San Francisco spin-off.
NEW DRAMA
The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco
Wednesday, ITV Hd, 9pm
Code-cracking World War Two drama The Bletchley Circle was cancelled in 2014 after just two short series, but four years later it’s back with a transatlantic twist.
A murder in 1950s San Francisco reminds British former code-breakers Jean McBrian (Julie Graham) and Millie Harcourt (Rachael Stirling) of a colleague’s death years before. Believing they can find the killer, the two women – who helped Britain win the war but were forced to return to mundane lives in the years that followed – make the bold decision to travel to the US to investigate.
The four-part series sees the women join forces with two American counterparts, Iris and Hailey (see panel), as they tackle a string of different murder cases.
Here, Graham and Stirling tell us more about the spin-off…
