Liev Schreiber and Susan Sarandon join sides in the return of fixer drama ray donovan
Hollywood fixer Ray Donovan is back in business this week when the hit US drama returns to Sky Atlantic for a fifth season.
After his whole family came together to bring down a Russian mob in the last series, Donovan now finds himself hired by studio boss Samantha Winslow, played by Susan Sarandon, after her regular fixers turn against her.
We sat down with Liev Schreiber, who plays the title role, to find out what’s in store for the new series…
What can you reveal about the new season?
It’s a very dark year for Ray. There’s a very emotional arc and it centres around the family. I think it’s going to be unlike any other season we’ve done. I was nervous about it because it’s very ambitious – but I’ve seen several episodes now and I like it. We’ve crossed over into something really special.
