Budding astronauts are put through their paces by a famous space commander
Becoming an astronaut is a dream job for many, but how hard is it to make the grade? In BBC2’s reality show Astronauts: Do You Have What It Takes? 12 members of the public get to see if they could cope with life in space as they undergo intense astronaut training using standards set by world space agencies.
The rookie astronauts, ranging from a surgeon to a Team GB athlete, will be judged by Chris Hadfield, former commander of the International Space Station, and the winner gets Hadfield’s backing for their application when the agencies next take on recruits.
