It’s one of the TV industry’s biggest nights of the year on Tuesday when David Walliams hosts the National Television Awards from London’s O2.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the ceremony and sees the Britain’s Got Talent judge take over hosting duties from Dermot O’Leary, who has stepped down after 10 years as presenter.
Here, TV&Satellite Week catches up with Walliams, 48, to hear more, while we also look at some of the big TV rivalries on the night…
Congratulations on your new role. Are you nervous?
Yes, I am! I wasn’t expecting to be offered this, but I’m chuffed to be doing it. It’s a really fun night, so to be asked to host the 25th NTAs and be right at the centre of things is thrilling.
