Monica Dolan lands her dream role on Inside No.9’s most ambitious episode so far
‘I’m really conscious of not spoiling it,’ says guest star Monica Dolan, recently seen in hit BBC comedy W1A. ‘Let’s just say my character is not what she seems. What’s wonderful about the episode is the twist in the way the story is told. It will all make sense in the last 10 minutes.’
Ostensibly, it’s a tale about moving house, as a removals man turns up at an appointment. But when Dolan’s character, May, opens the door, she seems anxious, unprepared and confused – not the kind of person who’s waiting to load boxes on to a van.
Even more puzzling, she doesn’t seem to know the other people in the house, not even the man who thinks he’s Andrew Lloyd Webber.
