Set in 1890s New York, murder-mystery drama The Alienist returns for a second season with a shocking new crime for the team to investigate.
The first season focused on a ritual killer who murdered young boys. With the New York police force riddled with corruption, it was up to psychologist – or alienist – Dr Laszlo Kreizler (Daniel Brühl), newspaper illustrator John Moore (Luke Evans) and police secretary Sara Howard (Dakota Fanning) to crack the case.
