NEW DRAMA
Time Sunday, BBC1 HD, 9pm
Sean Bean’s collaborations with award-winning writer Jimmy McGovern have always been something special.
The pair first worked together in 2012 on an episode of McGovern’s acclaimed anthology drama Accused, which saw Bean give a moving performance as a troubled transvestite. Five years later, the actor won a BAFTA for his role as a compassionate but haunted priest in harrowing drama Broken.
Now, Bean and McGovern are teaming up once more, along with Stephen Graham, who co-starred as Bean’s lover in Accused, for another compelling slice of life in BBC1’s prison drama Time.
