Ethan Peck portrays Star Trek’s logical half-Vulcan as we’ve never seen him before…
One of sci-fi’s most iconic characters returns to our screens this week when a young Spock joins Starfleet for the second season of hit Netflix series Star Trek: Discovery.
US actor Ethan Peck takes on the role of the half-human, half-Vulcan science officer, famously played by Leonard Nimoy, but don’t expect too many similarities. With Discovery set several years before the original 1960s series, Spock is still finding his feet and even has a beard.
‘This is Spock pre-Captain Kirk and pre-starship Enterprise,’ reveals Peck. ‘So he’s in a place in which we might not fully recognise him.’
