If you’re looking for a supernatural drama to transport you into a mysterious world of talking ravens, strange monsters and creepy doppelgängers, then new Syfy series Trickster might just fit the bill.
The six-part series stars Joel Oulette as Jared, an indigenous teen living in a small Canadian town in British Columbia where he is struggling to keep his dysfunctional parents above the breadline.
As well as holding down an after-school job in a fast-food joint, Jared has a sideline in selling ecstasy. His earnings go towards supporting his unemployed dad Phil (Craig Lauzon), and his irresponsible mother Maggie (Crystle Lightning), who suffers from mental illness and has a destructive relationship with her drug-dealer boyfriend Richie (Joel Thomas Hynes).
