NEW DRAMA

Crooked House

SUNDAY / CHANNEL 5 / 9.00PM

Acountry house, a feuding family, and a bottle of cyanide… It wouldn’t be Christmas without a star-studded Agatha Christie drama – and this year’s comes with Hollywood glamour.

In Channel 5’s Crooked House, Oscar-nominee Glenn Close joins The X Files’ Gillian Anderson and Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks in a murder-mystery set in an English country house.

Rather than featuring Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot, the story sees spy-turned-private detective Charles Hayward (Max Irons) investigate the murder of the home’s wealthy Greek owner at the request of his ex-lover Sophia (Prime Suspect 1973’s Stefanie Martini), who wants to catch her grandfather’s killer before Scotland Yard exposes family secrets.
