Father and daughter Anthony and Daisy Head on their joy at starring together in Girlfriends…
DRAMA
Girlfriends
WEDNESDAY / ITV / 9.00PM
For some people, working with a family member would be the stuff of nightmares. But, as TV Times sits down for an exclusive chat with Anthony and Daisy Head about starring together in Kay Mellor’s ITV drama Girlfriends, the doting father and daughter tell us that the experience has been a total delight.
Here, Anthony, 63, and Daisy, 26, tell us what’s in store for their characters, magazine owner John and cruise ship entertainer Ruby, and share a beloved snap from their family photo album…
What is in store for your characters as the series continues?
Anthony: John’s not necessarily a bad guy, he just thinks he is in the right. It’s fascinating the way it plays out with Sue [played by Miranda Richardson] in a real and emotive way… Daisy: Ruby was close to her dad Micky, who is presumed dead, so she struggles because there is no closure over what was happened to him, while her ex Tom [Matthew Lewis] gives her more issues to deal with.
How did you feel when you were both cast in the show?
