They were two of Hollywood’s biggest screen sirens, but Bette Davis and Joan Crawford were also the bitterest of rivals. Each felt threatened by the other’s success and they often spread malicious gossip about one another.

Now the story of their legendary rivalry is told in an eight-part US drama starring Jessica Lange as Joan and Susan Sarandon as Bette. Both Joan and Bette had been huge film stars during the 1930s, but struggled to find big roles as they got older. Feud: Bette and Joan goes behind-the-scenes as the two finally agree to star together for the one and only time, in classic 1962 film What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
