Last May, presenter Zoe Ball’s partner, cameraman Billy Yates, committed suicide, aged just 40, after years of battling depression.
Now, the Strictly: It Takes Two host and Radio 2 DJ is undertaking a huge challenge for Sport Relief to raise funds for mental health issues and increase awareness.
Zoe will cycle over 350 miles in five days from birthplace Blackpool to Brighton, where she now lives.
BBC1’s documentary Zoe Ball’s Hardest Road Home will follow her and also see her meet people who suffer from depression and those who have lost loved ones to suicide. Here, Zoe, 47, tells TV Times why the ride means so much…
