The stars of Victoria Wood’s hit sitcom reunite 20 years on to share their memories in a new documentary series.
NEW DOCUMENTARY
dinnerladies diaries
WEDNESDAY / GOLD / 8.00PM
Canteen-set sitcom dinnerladies had all the essential ingredients to make a TV classic.
Written by Victoria Wood, who also played Brenda ‘Bren’ Furlong, the cast included Julie Walters, former Coronation Street stars Anne Reid and Thelma Barlow, and the then up-and-coming Maxine Peake.
Now, 20 years after the series first aired on BBC1, Gold’s three-part dinnerladies diaries features the stars sharing memories of their time on the hit comedy and an archive interview with Victoria, who passed away in 2016.
Here, some of the leading ladies give us a sneak preview…
