THE BAY
WEDNESDAY / ITV / 9PM / EP 4 of 6 / DRAMA
Daniel Ryan is enjoying a purple patch in his TV career. Recently seen in BBC1’s acclaimed true crime drama Four Lives, the actor is currently on our screens playing dedicated DI Tony Manning in ITV thriller The Bay.
Daniel has also been busy filming with David Tennant for Litvinenko, ITV’s factual drama about the murder of former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko in 2006, and alongside Keeley Hawes in BBC1 series Crossfire, about a hotel shooting in the Canary Islands.
Given his hectic schedule, TV Times was delighted to catch up with Daniel, 53, for an exclusive interview to celebrate his 30 years on the box…
DI Manning has been through the mill in The Bay. How are things going for him in series three?
The divorce papers were served in episode one, which is a defining moment for any relationship. Now his son’s graduation ceremony is approaching, and his wife [Kerrie Taylor] wants him to be there. But his former best mate, who is now her partner, will also be there!
