Take the idea of charity music supergroup Band Aid, cross it with Stars in Their Eyes, throw in two Time Lords and mix in Pudsey Bear – what do you get?
Children in Need: Got It Covered, an exciting new venture for the charity that sees Gentleman Jack and Broadchurch star Shaun Dooley bring together some of the biggest names from stage and screen to create an album of cover songs to help raise money for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
Alongside Shaun, the all-star line-up comprises Doctor Who favourites David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker, Suranne Jones, Olivia Colman, Himesh Patel and Adrian Lester, plus Hollywood stars Helena Bonham Carter, Jim Broadbent and Luke Evans.
The bespoke tracks were recorded earlier this year at legendary recording studios Abbey Road and RAK in London, and this week viewers can follow the entire process in a special 90-minute documentary on BBC1. Here Shaun, 45, tells TV Times more…
