What better way to avoid all that awkwardness over who settles the bill at the end of a meal than by playing some parlour games to decide?
As I’ll Get This returns to BBC2 this week, a new selection of celebrities will be heading out for a lavish three-course dinner, with the proviso that they all throw their credit cards into a basket on the table at the beginning of the evening.
The winner of each game gets to remove their card, and the unlucky star who hasn’t reclaimed theirs by the end has to shell out for the lot.
Among the diners later in the series are Ade Edmondson, Eamonn Holmes, Sue Perkins and Stacey Solomon, but the first five competitors are The Masked Singer panellist Jonathan Ross, presenters Anita Rani, Gabby Logan and Mark Wright and comedian Rachel Parris.
Here, Anita, 42, and Jonathan, 59 (or ‘pushing 60’, as Anita describes him in the episode!), tell us what makes a great dinner party for them…
