Boys Will Be Girls!
YOU South Africa|25 January 2018

There’s nothing wrong with Charlize Theron’s decision to let her son dress up in girl’s clothes, experts say.

IT PRIDES itself on being “the happiest place on Earth” and that sure seems to be the case for the kids of one of South Africa’s most successful exports.

Disneyland has been the venue of choice for actress Charlize Theron’s children’s birthday celebrations several times – and when young Jackson turned five recently it was back to the home of Mickey, Minnie and the gang.

The birthday boy’s younger sister, August, seemed to revel in the fun: she was snapped munching fluffy candy floss in her mom’s arms, wearing super-cute Minnie Mouse ears on her head.

But it was her brother who was truly enraptured, darting around the kiddie rides with a delighted grin on his face. At one point he even stole August’s Minnie ears to accessorise his frilly-sleeved sparkly top and patterned leggings.

This isn’t the first time Jackson has been spotted out and about in clothes traditionally meant for girls.

Oscar-winning actress Charlize (42) has faced criticism for allowing her son to wear dresses, skirts, tutus and ballet shoes, among other “girlie” get-ups.

Her critics were particularly put out when Jackson was spotted in a pink-and-white striped dress and a Princess Elsa cap in 2016, complete with a long white braid meant to look like the Frozen character’s flowing locks (YOU, 14 July 2016).
