Born and bought up in the New York City, USA, Mallika hails from a very reputed Marwari family of Madhya Pradesh. Given her keen interest, education and experience in fashion and lifestyle, she always dreamt of creating new and effective business opportunities for other established and upcoming designers and entrepreneurs in the similar space. It was this spirit that led her to launch Fashion Capsule.
All Fashion Capsule exhibitions have one thing in common - a kaleidoscopic variety of fashion offerings for shoppers by both new and established brands. After hosting multiple successful exhibitions in the past, Fashion Capsule now plans towards head to other cities and international waters soon.
A firm believer of the karma theory, Mallika believes in doing her own bit for the society. She has been closely associated with Ankur and Laksyam which are NGOs working towards the welfare of underprivileged children. She loves to visit their center and spend time with the children there. Interacting with kids there and helping them learn and grow with dignity gives her immense joy.
Tell us a little bit about your own personal path of empowerment?
I started my career working in my family retail business, understood its sensibilities, thereafter studied at Nift, New Delhi to broaden my horizon. Worked with a luxury retail brand for 4 years and then gave birth to my dream: Fashion Capsule, which is now a leading fashion and lifestyle exhibition name in the industry and happy to also be looked upon and known as a leading fashion entrepreneur who also inspirers and empowers other women. This is my personal path of empowerment.
What kind of support do you receive from your family & in-laws as well?
The role played by my family and in laws is immense. Without them, my journey and accomplishments would have been incomplete. They go hand in hand together in making me what I am today & I take immense pride in acknowledging it.
How do you overcome the obstacles you face?
