Loving all things timeless, Duchess & Co creative director Ju Nn Phang and husband Aaron Tey, tied the knot in a Spanish palace surrounded by four-hundred-year-old tapestries and ancient chandeliers.

TEARS AND LAUGHTER…

Hoping not to fall flat on my face, I held very tightly on to my father as he walked me down the aisle. My husband, Aaron, noticed my struggle of fitting through the floral archway in my enormous gown. I could see he was struggling to keep himself from bursting into laughter. Gracefully, I kicked my gown forward, trying not to step on it. I was maintaining my poise as I do in all situations, which made it even funnier for the both of us. We locked eyes, and I noticed his eyes swell up with happy tears. Walking down the aisle was an emotional and unforgettable experience for the both of us.

THE DREAM DRESS … While Aaron had his suits for the wedding custom-made by Ron Ng, I wore an embroidered tulle Marchesa Notte gown for the welcome dinner, paired with Louboutin heels. It was a dreamy piece that perfectly complemented the winery in Zaragoza, Spain. The wedding dress for the ceremony was a Pronovias 2019 design. I first spotted this beautiful lace embroidered ball gown when we went to Spain in 2018. The lace was delicately sewn on sheath tulle along the bodice and long fitted sleeves, cascading down the horsehair-braided skirt. With its plunging V-back and elaborate appliqué, the sheer tulle fabric made the lace sit perfectly on my body. A fine piece of work, it was my dream dress come true! As a finishing touch, this gown was paired with a three-meter-long veil with Chantilly lace appliqué by Canada-based Malaysian designer, Stesha Ho.
